Bindi is a decorative dot on the forehead. Women in India and some in Southeast Asia wear these dots. Typically, married women of the Hindu religion wear the bindi. It is worn on their foreheads.
The bindi, traditionally, is made with red sindoor powder. Sometimes, a black ointment is used as well.It is applied forehead which is a center of bodily and spiritual energy that represents the third eye in Hindu belief. The bindi, it is believed, prevents the loss of energy.
